How do I mount a TV to a camper wall?
I have an older camper (1989 prowler) and I want to mount a 23 inch tv to the wall using a swivel/tilt mount. I have never mounted a tv (or anything else for that matter) so I want to make sure I can do this.. the camper walls are thin, and not durable whatsoever, the walls are some type of faux wood paneling.. any advice would be great!
it would be ideal if you could remove a portion of the outer skin. some of those older campers used screws to secure sections of the vinyl or aluminum. a thin piece of steel like diamond plate with countersunk, machine threaded bolts might just fit under the outer skin unnoticed. if the sub-straight is particle board, and you successfully sandwich it between the diamond plate and your inside mounting hardware, it would go a long way in transferring the load. the last thing you want is to hit a bump and then hear something go down in the living quarters. stay safe on the road.
