Power Outlets in Coach Hard to Find
Few U.S. carriers offer power outlets on short flights in economy seats. Even on planes flying longer routes, such as Boeing 767s and Airbus 330s, economy travelers will find outlets only infrequently throughout the cabin, perhaps every two or three rows.
Some travel experts believe that power outlets are rarely seen in coach seats because this feature becomes a differentiating factor for business travelers. It certainly provides businessmen who want to work on computers when they fly motivation to fly business class.
Of the major U.S. airlines, only American Airlines offers coach seat power outlets which are installed in every third row. The only U.S. airline to offer power outlets in all seats is Virgin America which heavily promotes this feature. There are 28 planes in Virgin's fleet.
Virgin has observed that 53 percent of its customers travel with laptops. It sees power outlets as a key reason why passengers select Virgin as their airline of choice.
Other low priced airlines, including AirTran and Southwest, have no power outlets on their planes even though some of their planes offer in flight Internet service for those travelers willing to pay for the service. When you fly with these airlines, you will need an extra battery or two. The really difficult part, it the lact of public receptacles around the airport. You need to pay dearly to charge between segments.
Airlines Wi-Fi service drains laptop batteries 30 percent faster than typical Wi-Fi available on land, according to Astronics, which makes electronics for aircraft.

my ps3 over heats and gets the yellow light of dead and i wanna up another fan on it but i dont wanna plug it to the ps3s power supply how can i make it work out of my house outlet?
oh yea i guess the fan is a 12volt too.

Broadband - Internet Over Power-lines
BPL (Broadband over Power-Lines) or PLC (Power-Line Communications) is a technology that has been on the books for some years now, only recently though has it started to find its footing.
As the name suggests, BPL involves using existing power-lines to transmit broadband data. This revolutionary technology could be used to bridge the digital divide between rural and urban communities with regards to internet access.
Even though internet penetration rates have rocketed over the years, especially with the introduction and uptake of broadband technologies there is still a large portion of the population that have either zero or limited access to the internet. Such customers are often found in rural areas, outside the reach of broadband technologies.
BPL however, works on the premise that nearly every inhabited building throughout the country has electrical outlets, and it is these outlets that BPL services plug into.
As mentioned, the idea behind using existing power grid infrastructure to transmit data signals is not new, and in fact this is something that electricity companies use to monitor power line performance.
The reason that this technology could be so easily incorporated is because current electrical infrastructure uses an alternating current (AC), which vibrates at a different wave length to the radio-frequency (RF) waves that data uses. Therefore, they can both travel down the same wiring.
However, instead of being able to transmit the data signals at the power source (i.e. power plants), which would have been the easiest option, the data signals have to be dropped onto the lines a little closer to home. This is because at the source of the power, the voltage is so high (or “noisy”) that it would cause too much interference with the data signals.
Therefore, BPL drops the data signals off onto the less “noisier” medium-voltage lines. From here the signals pass through various repeaters and couplers to ensure they reach their destination intact.
At the end of the line there are various ways that broadband can enter buildings. This can either be via a traditional power outlet which plugs directly into an Ethernet port, broadband WiFi hotspots etc. If you would like to compare broadband packages in your area then the internet is an excellent source.
