my laptop power cable broke. can i use another power cable that is similar to it?
i have an hp dv6707us laptop. my power adaptor broke so i went on amazon. they have power adaptors for computers like dv6201 and dv6507 or something like that. it looks exactly like my power cable. will it work on my laptop?
Go check at the HP website. You should be able to get the part number off the adapter. Go th HP.com, then support, and do a search on the part number. That should return a list of laptops that the adapter will fit.
If you do a search on ebay for that laptop model number or the adapter part number, the sellers usually list all the laptops that will work with it.
make sure you get one that you know will work with your laptop model. Some may look alike, but they can be very different.
