The 3110 was a GSM mobile phone handset manufactured by Nokia and released for sale in 1997. The 3110 is notable as the first Nokia handset to feature the 'Navi-Key' menu navigation system. The Navi-Key was featured heavily on Nokia handsets, especially the entry-level models such as the Nokia 1100 in the following years. Unlike its successor, the 3210, and subsequent handsets of similar design, the 3110 had an external antenna. The phone was available with a slim, standard or vibrating battery. It could only be used on a GSM-900 network.
The 3110 shared the platform and accessories of the Nokia 8110 "banana phone".
The model number was reused by Nokia in 2007 when the company launched the Nokia 3110 classic. The 3110 Classic sports a candybar form factor similar to that of the 3110, but adds modern features such as Bluetooth, camera functionality, audio and video playback and recording, and packet data over EDGE, in addition to tri-band functionality. Unlike subsequent 3000 series mobile phones, its display is NOT PCD 8544 based.

How would one test the mah on rechargeable NIMH batteries?
Ok, I have a few 2500 mah AA batteries, a few years old. I wish to test the miliamperage and see what they are at now, how well they have held up. I would also wish to test AAA batteries.
What are some ways i could do this? I do not have any equipment hooked up to my computer and will not buy any unless it is avalible at radioshack for less than $30. I have a voltometer.
Get a 1 ohm, 10 watt resistor from Radio Shack (1st link below) and an AA battery holder (2nd link below). Connect the resistor to the two leads of the battery holder; it needs to be soldered for this, because it's going to use a lot of current. Put it on something that can take some heat -- driveway, patio, or? Connect the voltmeter up across the resistor; when you put the battery in, it should read about 1.3VDC. The resistor will get hot, because you're putting 1.3 W into it. Time how long the voltage stays at or near the original reading. Multiply the time (in hours) you measured by 1300 mA (the amount of current that is flowing through the resistor) to get the mAh that the battery can give back after charging.
If you do this a lot, you'll be able to shorten your timing, because you will see that the small differences in the first measurements will be a reliable indicator for the final results.

Let Us learn To Choose A Rechargeable Battery
Buying rechargeable batteries can save you a lot of money in a short amount of time. If you use technology gadgets such as digital cameras and handheld games, rechargeable batteries are almost a must. Not only can you save money by using rechargeable batteries, but you can also save on the amount of toxins from batteries that go into landfills.
Types of batteries
Pick nickel metal hydride (NiMH) batteries for high-capacity charges. Although you can purchase D batteries that are rechargeable, the larger batteries don't hold their charge as well as smaller AA and A batteries do. While these NiMH batteries stay charged for quite a while, you shouldn't depend on them for items such as smoke detectors or flashlights because they do lose their charge over time whether they get used or not. NiMH batteries can have numerous charges over their lifetime, but it's best to let the batteries run down before you charge them rather than repeatedly "topping them off" with a new charge. Most electronic devices shut themselves off before damaging the batteries, although flashlights may let the rechargeable batteries run down to a point where the batteries may no longer take a charge.
You may still find older nickel-cadmium (NiCd) rechargeable batteries, but avoid purchasing them. The technology for the NiMH batteries and their improved charge-holding capacity more than justifies any differences in costs.
Select the newer low self discharge (LSD) NiMH batteries for a toshiba battery with long storage capacity. Once charged, these NiMH batteries have the same shelf life as alkaline batteries. These batteries are available in all sizes, but the AAA and AA size are more common than the C, D and 9-volt sizes.
Battery Capacity
Look for batteries with a higher milliampere hour (mAh) rating. This refers to the amount of electricity delivered at any given moment. Electronic devices can handle a range of mAh without damaging the device. So as the rechargeable batteries begin to lose power, they do no damage to the device. Batteries with a higher mAh may look exactly like a battery with a lower mAh but typically they cost more.
Battery Chargers
Buy the battery charger that suits your needs. In some instances you can purchase the charger and batteries as a package deal, but if you want your battery charger to maintain your rechargeable batteries properly, you may need to pay more for special features.
Look for a acer computer battery charger that recharges a variety of battery sizes. Select a unit that has a reconditioning cycle. This keeps you from overcharging your batteries. Some models do this automatically while others have a switch you must flip to go into reconditioning mode.
