How is size C lithium battery better?
You will see a wide range of batteries, each different from another with the respect to their uses and shapes. You will also see a distinction on with the rechargeable batteries and those non-rechargeable ones. In the non-rechargeable batteries, there are various types of batteries in accordance to the chemical used in them. Alkaline are mostly used but they have a very low life. Lead-acid batteries have a Long Life but they get weak too fast. The lithium batteries are the best for all time use. They have great power generating capability and a very long life. The normal battery sizes which we use are the AA or AAA size battery but, for a better performance, size C lithium battery is well-known.
Structure and Chemistry
Size C lithium batteryis a very unique in shape. It is has a diameter of 26 mm and a length of 46 mm. On a quick view, you can see no difference among the AA size battery or C size battery just with a slight thickness in the diameter. These batteries can be easily fixed into the battery compartment of the appliances you use. Because of a wider cylinder, they contain more chemical than others. These chemical constituents have the basic element of lithium. Lithium is the more reactive element found in the surface of the earth, therefore they have more energy generation capability. Lithium is compounded with other elements to give a better performance and many compounds of the lithium are used to make rechargeable batteries. Lithium electrolytes are filled in the zinc or galvanized cylinder with a carbon or graphite anode in the center. This is the core structure of all batteries. Therefore, regarding other chemicals, increase in the size of batteries will generate a lesser percentage of power but with lithium, they give a very good performance. These batteries were made to be just portable like AA size battery but they should provide more power than them.
Uses
Nowadays, size C lithium batteryhas many uses. They are widely used in toys, torch, clocks and cameras. Cameras are mostly suggested to use these kinds of batteries. Camera has a flash that uses a large amount of energy from the battery installed in them. That is the reason why all the wide ranges of digital cameras and the professional cameras use these kinds of batteries. Digital camera works automatically, therefore, they require more energy and those professional cameras need to have a good flash lightening to get a good exposure. Therefore, these batteries are used because they are convenient and long-lasting.
Power
The power generation of size C lithium batteries is incompatible. They give about 1.5 volts to 3.7 volts in different models. Usually 1.5 volts battery is mostly used. The matter is that how longer they can give the energy. A normal alkaline battery of C size give about 7000 mAh but a size C lithium battery gives over 12000 mAh and with the different compounds, it gives a much greater amount of energy.
Size C lithium battery is unmatched with any other battery because of the power and life time. It has much greater advantages than those normal alkaline batteries

How to change the Lithium Battery in a Minolta 7 SLR camera?
Would anyone know how or who now changes the lithium battery in the Minolta camers in Canada? Minolta used to have a factory service Centre but I understand they no longer support the film cameras
Is this a 35mm camera? If so, there is usually a little silver pill sized circle at the bottom of the camera. You can use a penny to open up the circle/battery cap by inserting the penny in the little crease and turning left (left loose, right tight). Just pop out the lithium battery and insert the new one. Why lithium batteries turned into a “time bomb”
