4-Line cordless phones are affordable phones that are used for business purposes. There are two pairs of extra wires added to this type of phone to add in three different lines for communication with more people. I forgot to mention that my service provider gives CLI facility free.

Its actually 2 functions that have to performed. One from your side, the other from your Service Provider's.

Since you already have performed your part, u need to put in a request to your service provider's customer care / franchisee in (verbal / wriiten format) that u wish to get Caller ID activated on your connection.

Though some operators offer it free of cost, there are some that charge Rs. 25/- to Rs. 50/- per month. Taxes extra.

Before putting in a request, check beforehand if there are any charges involved.

2 Line Cordless phones are a fast growing segment of the home phone market. It is a perfect fit for a home based business. The family line and the work line wrapped together all in one phone. Motorola has introduced the MD phone to try and capture market share in this more competitive niche market.

The Motorola MD 7091 comes with a 90 day warranty. I like to see that right out of the gates. There is nothing worse than a phone that has a problem within the first month. They tout the MD line as the complete communications crenter. It certainly tries to accomplish that feat. An answering machine is included in the base unit with a 30 minute digital memory. That is a nice addition. It has two mailboxes which helps you sort the phone calls. It has a built in caller ID . The caller ID handles up to fifty recent calls. In addition, it includes a fifty number phone book. That is a little on the small side.

The base unit has an intercom feature. I like that for the hands free option. The base unit can handle up to 8 other headsets. I'm not sure I would need eight but it is nice to have that convenience. The keypad and LCD display illuminate in the dark for easy viewing. It also allows three call conferencing. All those little perks help the small home business owner. You can even change the ringtone on the base unit.

The Motorola is a good addition to the 2 line cordless market but it comes in on the higher side of the price arena. For that reason, I give it 3 out of 5 stars.
