3rd gen ipod touch faulty screen??
bought a 32gb ipod touch recently means one week ago. I got GTA: chinatown wars for it but because of some reason my punch/use gun button placed on the right side is on more to work. I found that if I flip my ipod to it's different side, the punch/use gun button works but then i got an issue with my character movement button not working properly. I have figured out not being able to click items in other games i have as well (on the right side) unless i flip my ipod around but then i have the same movement problems as before. do you think its a Faulty screen? I never dropped my ipod and it still looks brand new 0 scratches.

If you are suffering from these suggested issues then you need to care about some guidelines for your faulty screen and you need to try these steps are as follows :
Clean the iPhone screen using soft, slightly damp, lint-free cloth.
Don't use gloves during working with Multi-Touch display and also touchscreen with wet hands or immediately after applying hand lotion. Moisture affects touchscreen behavior in the similar way as it affects a track-pad.
If you have a protective plastic sheet or film on the touchscreen, then destroy it. It may be preventing the touchscreen from working completely.
If it not comes into working then turn the device into off and turn it on again.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on the top of the device for few seconds until a red slider displayed, and then slide the slider. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo displays. To know more, see iPhone and iPod touch: Frozen and unresponsive.
If the device did not turn off, reset it. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for a least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

OK, thanks for your kind replies and i just did the steps listed in the troubleshooting guidelines I followed and did the calculator test. as well all the buttons seamed to work on the calculator but when ever i load up some of my applications i still have the similar issues with some sections of the screen not functioning. i have this one application world of warcraft armory with a Drop Down menu towards the bottom of the screen I open the list and five components that I can click on show up but i have only been able to click on the first two never the last 3. I will get a friend of mine to check out the world of warcraft armory application to see If she has the similar issues and report her findings.

Did you already tried to install a fresh backup of the application on your ipod? remove it on your ipod by keeping the icon until it shakes, then press the small cross. Then download a fresh backup from the application store using the ipod, if required switch to WiFi. Applications can be downloaded again for free, maybe your application got destroyed.
Did you reconfigured the ipod after you installed the application by holding the sleep and home button until you get the Apple logo again? This might also fix the issue with applications.

What are the disadvantages of buying the 1st Gen iPod Touch compared to 3rd Gen or 4th Gen?
Like, what are the generations for? What are the disadvantages of buying a 1st Gen iPod Touch compared to a later generation? Can I still buy the same apps as you could on a 4th Gen? Are some apps incompatitible with 1st Gen? Can I jailbreak it?

Mostly depending on the firmware of the iPod wheiter it's "jailbreakable"
but it has a slower processor
no speakers

IPod Battery Capacity
In my last article about the 24-hour iPod Battery we discussed the actual capacity of such an Apple ibook g4 battery. Now, however, I wanted to talk directly about the limitations of the current main technology of the Dell inspiron 9100 battery that makes it really difficult to get an iPod battery for the last 24 hours given the multiple demands of consumers.
Now we must ask why?
The reason a Dell inspiron 9300 battery of the iPod can not operate as specified when your average consumer uses their iPod is due to the limitation of the iPod batteries themselves, especially the limitation of capacity. All iPod batteries, including battery (3rd Gen iPod, inspiron mini 10 battery, iPod Nano, battery, iPod Video, iPod Photo Battery, iPod Battery 4th Generation, iPod Shuffle, iPod Classic and drums) all designed specifically for battery rating that serve a unique function designed to power their iPod player. Notice of battery will be very similar to:

The battery rating number that defines the capacity drums in the example above is the mAh 550 (milli ampere hour). To understand the capacitys Dell latitude d400 battery, then we need to follow some basic electronic formulas. Five factors that govern the capacity iPod Battery
Physical Size - The quantity of capacity that can be stored in the casing of a Dell d830 battery depends on the volume and plate area of the battery current. The more volume and plate area the more capacity you can actually store in a battery.

Battery History - Deep discharge, excessive cycling, age, the higher the load, under the burden, reduce the capacity of all. Note to charge the battery 1 time will reduce the capacity up to 15% -20% depending on the chemistry of your Thinkpad t61 Battery.
