is it legal to have cctv in a house where employees work without telling them or putting signs up to say it is?
i have just found out that my employer has been watching the girls at work come out of the bathroom and to go into the bedroom in there towles,he has not informed them that vidio -audio cameras are in the house and there are no signs to say they are in operation.is this legal,and what should i do,
we work for a paralysed gent who spends most of the time in bed, when the girls use the bathroom they know hes in his room so feel safe walking from the bathroom to there bedroom in a towel
If you mean the employees live and sleep there too, then they should be made aware of it. But, if that is not the case then as long as the cameras are outside bathrooms and not inside you don't have a case. If cameras are located where people can be seen naked your employer is violating the law.
