The blaZt OBD and OBDII Cable – an Absolute Money Saver
Ever had your car die on you in the middle of nowhere and leave you with absolutely no idea on what has happened? Have you had to shell out several hundred bucks to have your car towed to the nearest service station for repair, only to find that all you had to do was attach a lose cable or clean out a spark plug? If your answer to all of the above questions is yes, then perhaps it’s time to consider getting a blaZt.II OBD II Cable for your car.
On-board diagnostics have been a part of your car since the 1980s, when vehicle computers were first introduced. However, most of us are blissfully unaware of this fact and even today, prefer to call up a car mechanic to get even the smallest vehicle issue fixed. In most cases, an issue with your car is something so minor that you can fix it within a minute or two if you know what exactly it is.
Mechanics take benefit of this ignorance to keep their business rolling. With on-board diagnostics, you can easily track the working of your car at any time – all you need is a simple software installed on your computer and a cable connecting it to your car. This is where the blaZt OBD and OBDII Cables comes in.
Developed to work in combination with the Nissan Datascan software, the OBD or OBDII cable is a must have for you if you love your car. Though originally designed for petrol powered Nissan cars, the OBDII cable and software can easily be used with many non-Nissan make cars too. Once installed, you will find the Nissan Datascan and NDSII software package highly intuitive to use. It will allow you to freely download engine codes, log engine computer statistics and check your overall car performance.
And all of this at a cost less than that of a single trip to your garage or having your car towed to the service station. Take for example an incident that happened to me couple of years back. On my way back from a 300ZX car club race meet in NZ, we were in a convoy of five cars. Halfway back, one of the cars broke down in a location where there was no cell phone coverage.
Even as most of my colleagues were getting hyper about the downfall, I whipped out my laptop, plugged it into the car with the blaZt OBD Cable and voila! I know exactly what is wrong. The Nissan Datascan software showed me that there was a temperature sensor fault in the car, which it turned out was caused by a corroded plug. It took no more than five minutes to clean and refit the plug and we were on our way.
The car owner effectively saved more than $500 covering the cost of towing his car to the nearest city and the fixing of that simple plug. Not bad for a cable costing just USD$136 eh? And this is just one of the instances where I saved a bundle with the cable.
So why shouldn’t all of us get the same and start saving? You can easily buy the blaZt OBD Cable with its compatible software online and receive it in the mail. If you are interested, you can check out the details <a href=”www.blazt.biz”)><strong>here</strong></a>

What is the recommended Cable Car in the UK?
I would like to take my girlfriend on a weekend out. She wants to go on cable car. Could somebody please suggest a place to visit. The closer to London the better.
Thanks
the only ones I can think of is the one to the top of the Great Orme in Llandudno in north Wales http://www.greatorme.org.uk/cablecar.html ... and at Nevis in Scotland http://www.activitypoint.co.uk/cgi-bin/list.cgi?r=scotland.T6&e=651%28NevisRangeMountainExperience%29
neither of these are at all close to London though !!
if you do go to Llandudno, not far away is the Snowdon Mountain Railway http://www.snowdonrailway.co.uk/index.php which is a rack and pinion narrow gauge railway ... definitely a trip to remember
unless she'll accept a high ropes course, great for an adrenalin junkie http://www.chillisauce.co.uk/corporate-events/surrey/high-ropes-courses/

Car Electrical System Repairs
A car produces and consumes power. A pert of engine power is for producing electrical power which is consumed by the electronics, lights, spark plugs, radio and others. The battery is a type of power storage room. The charging system of a car includes voltage regulator, alternator, wires, cables, battery and fuses. If most components in the charging and electrical system of the car need repairing or replacement, then this can be done in DIY style.
When the Automotive Power Goes Out
Here are some helpful tips for troubleshooting charging and electrical systems:
- If the battery is working fine but doesn't charge, the alternator drive-belt should be checked if it is adjusted tight.
- If the turn signals work only on one side, then the bulb, wirings and the fuse on the side have to be checked.
- If the car battery is weak, turn off the engine and turn on the headlights for a moment. If they are bright then the battery and voltage regulator are working. In case they are dim, the battery is not good.
Energizing the Battery
A car battery receives electricity from the alternator/ regulator and passes it on to other electrical components. When the battery's electricity is used up, it needs to be replaced. Problems arise when the battery gets weak.
For replacing a battery, follow this guide:
First, locate the battery, then disconnect the cable from the negative side of the battery and then the positive side. Remove the hold-down clamp or frame. Grasp the bolts as the nuts are loosen making sure that the released bolts don't fall out of reach. Use a battery strap to lift the battery and put it aside. The battery tray should be inspected for any damage or corrosion and replace it if damaged. Use protective gloves to clean the battery with baking soda and water to remove battery acids. Test the battery to make sure it will hold a charge. If it holds, recharge the battery. Reinstall the battery, hold-down clamp, positive cable and then negative cable.
Battery on Cable
Battery cables play vital role in delivering electricity to and from the car's battery. Battery cables are simply heavy-duty coated wires with terminals on the ends. They can become corroded by electrochemical process inside the battery. The ends can also be damaged by mishandling or can become fragile with time.
For replacing battery cables, follow this guide:
First, locate the battery under the hood, there are two cables attached to it, one is black and the other is red. Disconnect the cables from the negative side and then the positive side. Disconnect the cables at the other end. Inspect the cable wire and ends for any damage. Battery cables are not very expensive so replace them every few years even if there is no damage seen. Take the old cables to the auto dealer and buy the new ones that exactly match the old ones. Reinstall the ends of the cables to the ground and the starter solenoid. Apply corrosion inhibitor to the positive battery terminal and then the negative battery terminal, then reinstall the positive (red) cable and then the negative terminal on the battery.
Other Auto Electrical Devices to Check
Many electrical devices in a car develop fault with time. They can be radio, wiring, lights, instruments and clock. A volt-ohmmeter (VOM) can measure either the voltage in a live circuit or the resistance in a dead circuit, it can also measure how much resistance the signal faced trying to get to the exit.
