How to Create a Wireless Access Point Using a WiFi Adapter & Cable Modem
Anyone can create a wireless access point to receive an Internet signal if it's not possible to have a physical connection between a computer workstation and a cable modem. In fact, wireless access points are used both in household networks and in businesses such as hotels where access to Wi-Fi networks exist for guests and patrons. Connect the cable modem to the cable and an electrical outlet. Hook up an Ethernet or Category-5 (Cat5) cable from the Internet port on the cable modem to the Internet port on the wireless router. Connect your Wi-Fi USB adapter or card to your laptop computer or desktop if it does not contain an internal wireless card. Once connected, the Wi-Fi adapter should instantly be recognized by your computer if the adapter is a plug-and-play device and search for the wireless access point you created with your router and modem. Secure your wireless access point by first pointing your Internet browser to the wireless router's configuration page. Most wireless routers have a settings page that can be found by typing in an address such as "192.168.1.1" into your Internet browser's address bar. Create a unique SSID (secure set identifier) and encryption key password for your wireless access point to ensure only authorized individuals have access to your wireless network. Select the option in your router's configuration page to disallow the SSID broadcast, which prevents network outsiders from seeing that you have a private network.

Is Windows Media Center compatible with Comcast cable if I buy a cable adapter.?
I have comcast cable running through my house and I was wondering if this is compatible with windows media center. If I buy an adapter and plug a wire from a cable jack in my wall into the adapter, and the adapter into the computer via USB, will it work? Can I watch live tv or just record it? Do I need to pay comcast more? Do I get all my channels (even hd)?
With most PCs, in conjunction with Windows 7 Home Premium or above, Windows Media Center can absolutely work with Comcast cable.
You will need: Windows 7 Home Premium (or better), CableCard tuner(s), and a bit of knowledge of how to set it up because Comcast generally needs to come out to install the CableCards themselves in your home.
And, invariably, the installer won't be familiar with WMC as a digital cable-ready DVR. You will most likely need to keep reassuring him that it's "just like a TiVo." Read up at http://thegreenbutton.com to learn what you need to know before the Comcast installer comes to your home.
To answer your questions specifically: Yes, you can get all of your digital cable stations (including HD). Yes, you can watch and record digital cable TV (encrypted and unencrypted). However, you will lose your "ON DEMAND" channels, as this version of CableCard does not support two-way communications with the cable company.
Generally, if you decide to give back your Comcast set top box (you won't need it unless you want to keep On Demand features), you will end up spending *less* with Comcast with WMC because you will not need a cable box anymore, and WMC does not charge a monthly fee for guide data. Comcast in my area does not charge for lending me CableCards. Some regions do, but it's marginal... like $2/month per card.
So, all in all, it's a pretty sweet proposition if you can get it all setup. There's a bit of a learning curve, but if you can work through that, it's probably the best Cable DVR available in the world.

Using Balanced Audio Cables
When it comes to getting to know and understand what professional equipment is with balanced audio cables and if they are really bringing the right amount of quality with them. With the professional equipment, there is now going to be a connector which is greater than before of course and that is because the cables can work better as well as having a greater range than before.
Some people believe that with the three pin connectors then they are going to have only one ground a single one and the others will head off to the other two on the right and left of the connector also. However that is completely wrong, if you find a balanced audio cable then it is going to be a mono signal that will require two balanced cables however.
These are supposed to be able to stop any interference from any other electrical which may be interfering with the signals. There is going to be a lot more noise running through the cables with the longer cables. Unlike the shorter cables, they can keep the noise to a minimum, which takes out any interference with the signals.

There are of course a lot of practical issues for many consumers today, so think about if you are going to want to go for an actual balanced audio for the camcorder of your choice and if you do then you are going to have to find a good adapter box. That should also have the amplification circuitry so that you are able to decode and create balanced audio with the camcorder.
These adapter cables can help you and not just for stopping any unwanted noises on the films, they can really help. For many audiophiles then they are not really going to want to look for them to be used with the balanced audio features. You will have to look for your adapter boxes first; they are going to be very expensive and they are more than likely to add some distortion to the sound.
You want to have the balanced audio because they should be able to run the signals over long distances and that is why with shorter distances then you should think about going to short shielded cables instead.
If you are running the cables in massive amounts of distance then why are you doing so? You should be wiring your cables very close and remember if you are going to have to do so then use some speaker wires which are high voltage to help the current flow without interfering with the current speaker.
